Memory of Jiangnan

Memory of Jiangnan is a traditional Chinese poetry. The basic creation part refers to the characteristics of oracle bone inscriptions and seal script, and has been simplified. In the overall creation, the designers graphically transformed traditional elements, tried 3D experiments, deconstructed and recreated, and tried to find and break the balance between tradition and modernity. They hope to show the charm of Jiangnan culture and Chinese characters and ancient poems to the world through the poster.

The poster is digitally printed and has a size of 70*100cm.

The project started in April 2021 and was realized by Yi Wu and Yanghua Yao.

The design was inspired by the beauty of Jiangnan and the cultural significance it holds. The designers aimed to capture the essence of Jiangnan culture and Chinese characters through the poster. They transformed traditional elements, experimented with 3D techniques, and sought to strike a balance between tradition and modernity.

The design has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2022. This award is given to designs that demonstrate professionalism, practicality, and innovation, while meeting industry standards and requirements. The Memory of Jiangnan poster is celebrated for its integration of industry best practices and technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
